The Matthew Meal

What is the Matthew Meal?

Once a month a free community meal is sponsored by the members of Trinity. Our purpose is to reach out and help anyone in need of a good meal for themselves or their family.

Throughout the new testament, Jesus prepared a meal or was a guest at meals. It was a way that people got to know each other, and what their needs were.

In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Do you know someone who is struggling or lonely, or just in need of a friend? Invite them to have a free meal with you in our parlor, cooked and served by a wonderful and friendly staff.

The Matthew Meal is typically scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month. Please contact the church office to confirm the date of our next Matthew Meal.

Community Prayer Service to follow.
